Colony is an all-new storage device neatly organizing entangled cables, adapters, wires and just about anything else hanging off your desk. Simply plug all your adapters into one AC power strip and pass the main plug through the single opening at the bottom of the vase for a tidy area.
With safety in mind the several circular openings at the base naturally act as a ventilation system by using heat from adapters to rise above while cool air enters from below.
Appearing as a traditional Chinese vessel, we aimed for Colony to be both classic and contemporary in design.
To be contemporary. « Previous | Next »
A contemporary desk and chair not to mention the latest computer defines a stylish, modern workspace. But have you ever considered keeping your foot area just as up to date? With the advancement of technology our life and its surroundings has become simplified. Feeling that our workspace especially underneath a desk should be just as modern and simple, Colony was created.
One of the most common places people tend to neglect is underneath the desk. Sure you could hide those chaotic cables lingering around the bottom of your desk by using a plastic container or even a cardboard box, but then what about safety? Colony uses radiation-friendly, durable porcelain designed specifically to handle heat— heat produced by those many adapters. Solving a messy problem, literally, Colony is your solution for a simple and neat working area from top to bottom.c
Safety with full storage space.
« Previous | Next »Utilizing heat produced by adapters, the several small openings at the base of Colony act as a natural circulation system allowing cool air to enter from below while lifting warm air above.
Continuously circulating the air within, it lowers heat produced by adapters by about 3°C to 4°C when compared to AC adapters simply left on the floor.
Colony's 19-liter capacity has enough storage space to neatly store any and all cables, wires, and adapters creating an ideal, simple yet stylish workspace.
A classic tool, renewed.
« Previous |Earthenware was the very first, handmade tool created by man. Although Colony is created at the latest equipped factory, the creation process is no different from its original method: using clay to form a shape then firing that shape to solidify it and using the end product as a useful tool.
Since the Age of Discovery, the aristocrats of Europe have taken great interest in Chinaware, causing a major stir for oriental pottery. Colony was created with a strong ambition to renew a deeply historical and very familiar object making it an all-new yet improved tool at the same time.
