App Integration/Disconnection
About the App
The Clock becomes more convenient to use when connected to the dedicated app “BALMUDA Connect.” It connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth, allowing precise time synchronization, various settings, and sound changes that cannot be done on the device itself.
Operating Environment
The Clock’s Bluetooth and Wi-Fi specifications are as follows:
- Bluetooth: Version 5.0
- Wi-Fi: IEEE802.11a/b/g 2.4GHz
Supports only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi
What You Can Do with the App
Connecting with the app requires both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections.
Bluetooth Connection
- Device settings from the app (Bluetooth® communication)
- Change sounds for alarm, Relax Time, and timer functions
- Turn on/off hourly chime and change chime sound
- Set a second time zone
Wi-Fi Connection
Wi-Fi connection is used for the following purposes.
- Automatic time adjustment via Wi-Fi
- Applying software updates
When performing software updates via Wi-Fi, The Clock must be connected to power and the Wi-Fi network must be active.
In the current app version, if you change Wi-Fi settings later, you need to redo the setup. For details, see “Setting up Wi-Fi connection later.“
App Integration
This section explains how to install the app on your smartphone, complete the login, and link the app with The Clock.
On the app’s product list screen, tap “Add Product.”
With The Clock powered off, press and hold the side button to enter pairing mode.

If The Clock is already paired, you need to unlink it from the app. For instructions, see “Unlinking from the App.“
Follow the app’s instructions to connect via Bluetooth. When the connection completes, a message will appear: “Bluetooth connection completed. Next, proceed to Wi-Fi setup.”

Use with Bluetooth connection only
Tap “Skip for now” to complete setup using Bluetooth only, and the following screen will appear.

In the current app version, if you change Wi-Fi settings later, you need to redo the setup.
Connect to Wi-Fi
Follow the app’s instructions to connect to Wi-Fi.
Once connected, the following screen will appear.

If pairing fails, please refer to the “Connection Guide” displayed on the app screen.

Setting up Wi-Fi connection later
If you skip the Wi-Fi connection during the initial pairing or fail to connect, you will need to pair the product again.
Please follow the steps below to set it up.
Unlink The Clock from the app. For how to unlink, please see “Unlinking from the app.“
Link The Clock and the app again, then proceed to set up the Wi-Fi connection. For details, please see “Linking with the app.“
Changing the Wi-Fi network
Unlink The Clock from the app. For how to unlink, please see “Unlinking from the app.“
Link The Clock and the app again, then proceed to set up the Wi-Fi connection. For details, please see “Linking with the app.“
Naming the product
You can assign individual device names in the app. You can change the name from “Device Name” in “Device Information.”

Unlink from the app
If you change The Clock’s Wi-Fi settings or plan to dispose of or transfer it, please unlink it from the app.
From the product list in the app, select the product you want to delete, then choose “Device Information” at the bottom of the screen.
Tap “Delete Product” in “Device Information” to unlink it.

Please note this action cannot be undone.
On your smartphone’s Bluetooth settings screen, select “The Clock” and unregister it.
