About the Built-in Battery
About Battery Life
The device contains a built-in lithium-ion battery. The battery can be charged and discharged approximately 500 times. However, this varies significantly depending on the usage environment and duration. If the usable time significantly decreases, it may indicate the battery’s end of life. Please contact the Balmuda Support Center.
Disposal of Rechargeable Batteries in Japan
The rechargeable battery built into the device can be recycled. Do not remove this built-in battery yourself; please contact the Balmuda Support Center.
About Device Errors
When an error occurs, all Minute LEDs will flash, and an error number corresponding to the issue will light up. Do not continue operation; record the displayed error number and contact the Balmuda Support Center.
How to Reset the Device
Erase All Settings (Initialize)
To initialize all saved settings, with the power off, press and hold the Moon, Sun, and Side buttons simultaneously for more than 10 seconds. When reset starts, you will be notified by sound and light, and the device will power off upon completion.
Resetting will not change the software version.
When powered on after initialization, the time is set to 8:20 PM.
Software Update
Software updates are provided through the BALMUDA Connect app. To perform a software update, you will need the following:
- A smartphone with the BALMUDA Connect app installed
- The Clock must be charged
- The Clock must be connected to Wi-Fi
In the current version of the app, if you need to change the Wi-Fi settings later, you will have to redo the setup. Please refer to “Setting up Wi-Fi connection later” for details.
How to Check for Software Updates
To check for software updates for The Clock, select The Clock from the product list in the BALMUDA Connect app and tap “Device Information.”
If an update is available, “Update Available” will be displayed under “Software” in “Device Information.” Tap the item to execute the software update.
To perform a software update, The Clock must be connected to power and the Wi-Fi network must be enabled.
